Everyone wants a piece of our next speaker, Forbes World’s Top 50 Women in Tech, roboticist and entrepreneur, Marita Cheng inspires people through the possibilities of technology.
Marita founded Robogals, a global organization that inspires girls about engineering careers through teaching girls robotics. For her work with Robogals, she was named the 2012 Young Australian of the Year and received an Asia Society Game Changer Award at the United Nations!
Marita then founded Aipoly, creating AI technology for the blind, winning a CES Best of Innovation Award two years in a row!
And then Aubot, making robots that care and enable.

While studying engineering at university, Marita founded Robogals, a global organization that inspires girls into engineering careers and tertiary studies through teaching girls robotics. For her work with Robogals, she was named the 2012 Young Australian of the Year and received an Asia Society Game Changer Award at the United Nations!
Through attending Singularity University’s 10-week Graduate Studies Program, Marita founded Aipoly, using AI to recognize objects in real time to help the visually impaired navigate the world, winning a CES Best of Innovation Award two years in a row! And then Aubot, where she currently serves as CEO, making telepresence robots and robotics arms that care and enable.
Named one of Forbes 30 Under 30 and the youngest Member of the Order of Australia, Marita shows there are no limits.
Staging and Audio-Visual Needs
- Marita has a big presence, but in reality, she is only 5’1”. We strongly encourage you to have a riser for audiences of 100+ attendees to ensure they can see her.
- Please provide an LCD projector and screen with the ability to play both video and sound.
- Marita will bring her presentation on a USB memory stick to present from your computer.
- Marita can use Keynote or PowerPoint. Internet is not required.
- Marita normally arrives one hour before her presentation for A/V check. Marita's team will work with you to schedule the exact time that works best for you.
